Branding, Marketing and Livestock - OM Times Psychics : OM Times ...

TOP AMERICAN PSYCHIC?? and Colorado?s Leading Clairvoyant Medium

Branding, Marketing and Livestock.

I was born and raised in Colorado.? Some still think Colorado is ?old west? and that?our streets are paved with horse manure.? Well, in certain towns? this is true.? Of course it?s also true that I did travel through the state of Colorado 50 miles in a wagon?pulled by draft horses this summer.

Being born and raised in the western state of Colorado, a state known for it?s ranchers and cattle ranches, I always think of branding livestock when I hear the word ?branding? even when it?s used with the word ?marketing?.? The irony to this is that branding livestock is in many ways similar to branding one?s business or company.? Livestock branding is a technique for marking livestock so as to identify the owner.? The act of marking livestock with fire-heated marks to identify ownership has origins in ancient times, with use dating back to the ancient Egytians.? Among the ancient Romans, the symbols used for brands were sometimes chosen as part of a magic spell aimed at protecting animals from harm.? The semi-permanent markings used to identify sheep are called paint or colour brand.

Now, I don?t know if it?s my personal upbringing in a western state where branding livestock of sheep is common, but I do know this; after having worked?under large psychic corporations for nearly 10 years, I began to feel like a sheep ?branded??to the?point of ownership to the company.? I don?t know about you, but I don?t like to feel like that.? Especially knowing?the reference of?people as ?sheeple?.

Branding?is the expression of the essential truth or value of an organization, product or service. It is communication of characteristics, values, attributes, that clarify what this particular brand is and is not. A brand will help encourage someone to buy a product and it directly supports whatever sales or marketing activities are in play, but the brand does not explicitly say ?buy me.? Instead it says ?This is what I am. This is why I exist, if you agree, if you like me you can buy me, support me, and recommend me to your friends.?? The brand is ultimately what determines if you will become a loyal customer or not.?[1]

As I stated in the previous blog, I realized working under the larger psychic corporations that if I don?t bother with my own personal branding as a psychic, my personal promise to
my clients, then I?m really little more than a commissioned independent
representative working for a psychic corporation and that makes me feel like?a branded and marketed psychic?sheep.? In addition to that, their brand was most certainly not expressing, and definitely not promoting?my essential truth, value or the reason I exist.

So what?s the difference between branding and marketing?? Although often confused and seen as the same thing, branding and marketing are two very different and two very important business elements. While you might be scratching your head right now trying to ascertain where the variances lie, don?t worry; you?re not alone. There are a number of top notch?psychics who?re also guilty of merging the fine line of distinction between the two. A coherent definition of marketing, and an explanation of what branding is, will assist you in understanding the two and how they impact your chosing a reputable spiritual advisor.

Branding can be defined quite simply as?my persona. This is how the world sees me; the image?I project and?my business personality that people come into contact with.?My brand not only defines?my business, but also speaks about how?I conduct business and what I can offer my clients.??My brand is a promise to deliver an unmet need.

I think the word branding?is becoming overused, especially online.? Yet to clarify, my personal psychic?branding is the collection of all things?my clients?will experience, and how all?my brand elements work together.? My logo, color palette, photo style, typeface, tag line, brand message, placement, treatment or any other connection?to my clients defines?my brand.? My branding is who?I am and?what the world thinks I am. Every time a potential client makes contact with me, print, virally or by other means, they are formulating an opinion of me as a brand.

Marketing is how?I reach?clients with?advertising, promotions and public relations. Marketing is showing the world what I do.
