I confess.? I get into pasta ruts.? And while there are much worse ruts to get into, it is a rut none the less.? What is my rut?? Well, it begins with calling it pasta.? Pasta to me, means Italian.? Possibly a bit Greek.? But mainly Italian.?
How to get out of the pasta rut?? Call it noodles.? Opens up a whole new world.? Like the above dish.?
It may surprise you, but I pretty much schedule everything.? (Oh wait, you do turn in for Garden Tuesday, What Was it Wednesday, Foodie Friday, Weekend Cat Blogging, and Weekend Wine Reviews ? so it probably doesn?t surprise you at all).? One of my scheduled meals is pasta.? I like to make a big recipe of pasta on Tuesday and have leftovers on Thursday.? It makes me happy on Thursday to know that I have a pasta dish to heat up and that I don?t have to worry about cooking.
This past Thursday, instead of searching for pasta, I searched for noodles.? Hello.? I found Stir-Fried Noodles with Chicken, Mushrooms, and Green Beans at Fine Cooking.? It was perfect!? A fine change from my normal pasta dishes.? Note that it serves two, so you want to double it, and also please do a better job of more attractively chopping you basil and mint than I did.
